Fundraising
We have some good news to report!. We continue to work with the Athletic Department at Northeastern University, and they have now set up a new separate account specifically for NU Football fundraising efforts! This is great news in that we now will have separate accounting at the university for all the fundraising activities and your donations!
In addition, we will now start reporting in alignment with the university's fiscal year - which begins on July 1st. This will help keep our efforts separate and focused, while also allowing us to continue to work cooperatively with the Athletic Department in our fundraising efforts. A significant example of this is how the university is now able to collect the registration funds directly for our golf outing this year. This will greatly simplify the process, and ensure every person who contributes also gets direct recognition from the university, as well as appropriate documentation for tax purposes.
We'd also like to note that Adolph Chaplick '37, who was a member of the 1935 undefeated team recently passed away. His family members asked that memorial contributions be made to support the Northeastern Football program - which he loved dearly. Thanks to the generosity of Adolph's family and friends, more than $2,000 was raised to support today's Husky football student-athletes. We greatly appreciate their efforts and honor his memory.

How did we do with our fundraising in 2008?
As reported a few months ago, we exceeded our goal of raising $75,000 to sponsor the football team's travel to Ball State. Your commitment and generosity was greatly appreciated - and you kept giving! Here are the totals for 2008.
